2012.... Wow!
The New Year Cometh! 2012 Already!
As usual the year arrived with out much fanfare. Quiet evening at home with family, went to bed before the turn, mostly because of the remnants of a terrible head cold. But at last, it is here. 2012, oh what will you bring?
Not exactly sure why, but I keep sensing that the Lord is saying, "I will allow your heart to be broken to save your soul. I will allow your heart to be broken to save your soul." That is a powerful word. But that is the word that I have for 2012.
I do not believe that God punishes us with devastating events in our lives. I do believe that non believers, or believers that choose not to walk in faith and in a growing relationship with Christ subject themselves to events outside the graces of God. Consider this. Psalm 91:1 is what I call, "God's 911". It goes like this:
The Amplified Bible explains a little better:

"He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." NAS
"HE WHO [a]dwells
in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed
under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]."
This year I choose to abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I choose to be a servant, to grow in His grace and to seek His face for purpose and direction. I hope that I am able to share this message and encourage others to seek the one true God and Christ His Son as their Lord and Savior.
May God be with each one reading this and may the power of the Holy Spirit reveal truth and dispel the lies of the enemy. Amen

A Year Already?
Wow it's been almost a year since I posted anything on my blog. Pitiful. Pathetic. But there is a reason, but the reason is pitiful and pathetic as well. Basically I came to the conclusion that I could do nothing to change our country's insane plunge into socialism. I felt helpless and hopeless.
I did realize that it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that I could truly find hope. Yes I know, roll your eyes and give me the "here we go again" another religious zealot spewing "their truth". Well that's just fine. If that's your response, then consider yourself not in step with my beliefs and go to the next blog. However, I encourage you to stick around and see if it's hype or real hope.
The nature of this blog is changing. I will address political issues from time to time but that will not be my main focus. Time will tell where this new path will lead. But one thing is for sure. It will change.

A New "Everyday Task"
We all have our list of things we do everyday. Those things that are so much a part of our daily routine that we don't even think about it any longer. We get up each morning, eat breakfast, brush our teeth, take a bath, walk the dog, feed the cat, go to work and on and on. We must now put a new and very important item on our "everyday task" list. It has now become imperative that we do everything we can to make our voices heard in the current political climate. That means calling, writing, emailing your representatives in congress, both on the state and federal level. We MUST express our concerns about the things we are hearing and we MUST demand answers.
We have so often left this task to others. Sure, we can continue to do that, but if we do, our President and his radical administration will be successful in, according to his own words, "fundamentally changing the United States of America". We can no longer deny that the change he is implementing will socialize our country and destroy or democracy. Our complacency is our enemy. We MUST be active.
My list today was to write each of my representatives and demand to know what they are doing about the radical Van Jones and his influential position in our government. I have demanded that they insist on his resignation. That is only one issue of many that must be addressed. Please commit to taking some action every day. Please make it a part of your daily routine.
